The Art of Monsters University

The talented Karen Paik is back in charge of "The Art of Monsters University". The cover features a symbolic image of the film, Bob and Sulli in front of the entrance to their university. It is amusing to note that the back of the book corresponds to the backs of our two heroes. By removing the paper cover, we can see that the cover of the book itself has an engraving of the "Monsters Academy" logo, which we find illustrated on the first pages of the book. The inside cover is dedicated to various logos of the "Monsters Academy" while a page features the official logo of the university. After a table of contents offering beautiful colored artwork, Pete Docter and John Lasseter sign the preface and explain the difficulty in designing a prequel. The foreword that follows, signed by director Dan Scanlon, looks back on the origin of the film and the dreams we had as young people that will shape our lives. This double page is illustrated with photos of the three artists as students.
