Comic Box

French magazine on the entire universe of superheroes... Comic Box had a first monthly series of 35 issues (plus a zero issue) between 1998 and 2001, followed by three Comic Box Annual issues published in 2002, 2003 and 2004. At the beginning of 2005, the Mad Movies magazine published a special comics special issue, entitled The Odyssey of Superheroes. This special issue was the zero issue of a third bimonthly series of Comic Box which was launched in the summer of 2005. At issue 45, the magazine resumed the numbering following the first series. While the editorial structure, brought by the Full FX company, has not changed since the beginning, the magazine has gone through several publishers and several successive formats. The first version (from 1998 to 2001), monthly, in comic book format, was published by TSC (an acronym meaning "Anything But Pig"). The annuals (from 2002 to 2004), in large hardcover format, were published by the USA Editions and sold only in comic book stores. The current version (since 2005), bimonthly, in large format, was initiated by Custom Publishing (Mad Movies) in 2005 and taken over in 2007 by Panini from issue 45.
