Yataca

Yataca

YATACA is a magazine published by Aventures & Voyages. 254 issues from July 1968 to August 1989. The magazine was first published in a medium format (14.5x21 cm) in full color for 20 issues before switching to a smaller black and white format. The larger format issues contained the adventures of young Yataca (a Tarzan clone), while the smaller format issues told the stories of his adult adventures without any transition, at least until issue #203. The later issues abandoned the jungle theme and focused on sports in a similar way to titles like "En Piste" or "Trophée", with strips mostly of British origin. One of the main characteristics of this magazine is the incredibly high number of series that succeeded one another over the 254 issues. The covers were first the work of Giorgio Trevisan (for the color issues), then Vitor Peon took over for a good while. He was first replaced by Tomas Porto, then by Enzo Chiomenti, and it was Francesco Gamba who did most of the work towards the end, sometimes with the help of Guido Zamperoni.
