Third Éditions is a French publishing house specialized in the world of video games and popular culture, founded in the mid-2010s. This young publishing house quickly established itself as a reference in the in-depth analysis of video game franchises.
Each work by Third Éditions follows a editorial line structured around three axes: genesis, context and analysis. This methodical approach makes it possible to professionally break down major franchises, from gameplay analysis to lore explanation, including the study of sound design and its impact on the player.
Thanks to successful Kickstarter campaigns in 2016 and 2018, Third Éditions was able to translate several of its works into English, thus expanding its international audience. Some titles like "Zelda. The History of a Legendary Saga" exceeded 30,000 copies sold, testifying to the public's interest in this analytical approach to the video game medium.
