Technically, the Atomiswave is a Dreamcast hardware with more RAM and video memory, just like Sega's Naomi system. It is not uncommon to see the Sega logo during the Atomiswave boot sequences. Although very close, these 2 systems are not inter-compatible.
But thanks to this proximity, in 2013, Darksoft, a genius modder (The Darksoft Forum) managed to modify the Atomiswave game dumps to run on the NetBoot of the Naomi system. It is therefore through these 2 channels that we can now enjoy this system.
