STARFIX NEW GENERATION (1998-2001)
1998: Under the impetus of Patrice Girod, director of publications of the company Courleciel s.a.r.l., already publisher since 1995 of the Lucasfilm Magazine (the official magazine of Star Wars for all French-speaking countries), a new version of the magazine is born, with the name "Starfix New Generation". The magazine becomes a bimonthly and the cartoonist Olivier Vatine offers a drawing of Bonnie (the pin-up, mascot of the magazine) in each issue. A completely renewed editorial team is set up. Of all the former editors of the original magazine, only Christophe Lemaire will contribute to this new version. The editor-in-chief for the first two issues, David Oghia, is replaced from the third issue by Piéric Guillomeau. After 17 issues, this version of the cinema magazine sees its last issue published in March 2001.
