LEGO Alien Conquest

LEGO Alien Conquest marks a turning point in the LEGO space universe in 2011. For the first time, extraterrestrials directly invade Earth to steal human intelligence, breaking away from previous space themes where astronauts fought on other planets.

This ephemeral range of 10 sets pits the ADU (Alien Defence Unit) against an extraterrestrial invasion force. The theme introduces several new elements such as the microphone, syringe and ray gun in mainstream sets, following their first appearance in the Minifigures series.

The sets are distinguished by their fully printed pieces, without stickers, notably the quarter saucers also used in the first Star Wars Millennium Falcon. A second wave was planned for 2012 but was cancelled in favour of new themes, making Alien Conquest one of the shortest but most memorable LEGO ranges of the modern era.
