Shaman King

Shaman King

Shaman King (シャーマンキング, Shāman Kingu) is a shōnen manga adapted in 2001 into a 64-episode animated television series directed by Seiji Mizushima and aired on the Japanese TV channel TV Tokyo. The Western version of the anime has been modified by 4kids and includes censorship (changes in dialogues, modification of the original soundtrack, image retouching, etc.). Three DVD box sets of this version are published in France by Déclic Images. Manta Oyamada is a 13-year-old teenager, a good student but complexed by his small size and rather difficult character. One evening, on his way back from school, he passes through the cemetery and meets a boy, Yoh, a young student destined to become a shaman, who seems to be observing the stars. Yoh calls him and invites him to share this beautiful night with him and his ghost friends! Panic-stricken, Manta flees screaming... The next day, at school, Yoh introduces Manta's class. These two will eventually become friends. Yoh will meet Amidamaru, a samurai who died 600 years ago... Directed by Seiji MIZUSHIMA, also the popular director of Full Metal Alchemist (series and film), Shaman King is drawn and animated by Akio TAKAMI (Blue Seed, Sōkyū no Fafner). An energetic and exciting series adapting the ultra-popular manga by Hiroyuki TAKEI!
