Samuel Elias Brett is the technician of the ill-fated ship that lands on LV-426 in Alien, the 8th Passenger (1979). Brett, played by Harry Dean Stanton, is humble and calm before the crew members discover an Alien lifeform, then becomes suspicious, but he is still efficient. He participates in the maintenance of the ship and improvises a series of electric prods to chase the Aliens before he himself dies in the bowels of the ship.
