ColecoVision

The ColecoVision is a video game console developed by Coleco, an American company known for its toys and game consoles. Launched in 1982, it is considered one of the first consumer video game consoles to offer graphics and sound quality close to arcade games of the era.

With its Z80 chip and advanced graphics processing capabilities, the ColecoVision made it possible to offer high-quality arcade game ports such as Donkey Kong, Zaxxon and Frogger. The console enjoyed considerable commercial success, particularly thanks to its diverse game library and affordable price.

Although it failed to supplant the Atari 2600, the ColecoVision marked the history of video game consoles and remains today a reference for enthusiasts of the golden age of arcade games.
